BIRTHDAY!
Boomerang Billy's will be the
place to Celebrate this weekend - the 27th and 28th
Canada's National Day
It is normally celebrated on
July 1st, formerly called Dominion Day, it was re-named CANADA
DAY in 1982.
We have
sooooo many northern friends, that with lots of help from two
of our Canadian friends-Nancy and Hutch-, that I have decided
to celebrate with you guys from down here in the south from the
Lone Star State! This will be a warm up to our 4th of July-
Independence Day for us.
Nancy and Hutch have sent all
kinds of great things to help celebrate this great occasion in
honor of our friends that we hold dear in our hearts.
We can't wait for your
arrival back to the Island for the Winter.

CLUB PELICAN WEST
LESLIE WILL BE PERFORMING
AT CLUB PELICAN WEST
THIS SUNDAY, JUNE THE 28TH
from 6 - 8pm.
Club Pelican West is a great way
to end the day after
Boomerang Billy's on Sundays!
Instead of waiting in the
traffic to get across
the bridge,
just come on over and
have a
dance and a drink or two!!

Sunday, July the 5th has been
added to the schedule

Leslie will be performing

Holiday Weekend!!
Leslie's Winter Olympics
at Boomerang Billy's
was held on Sunday, the
22nd

DUCK TALES ON THE HORIZON
These Duck Tales were such
a success last year, that we now
have new adventures from
our 2009 ducks!!

Back in April 2008, Leslie gave out some Pirate
Ducks to "responsible" people that she thought would be so kind
as to name, feed, care for and then document each Duck's
travels for a year or until they returned to South Padre
Island, TX.
Here is Carol and Lloyd's
Duck that they named F.A. Duck and his journey so far in 2009
and the box below that is from 2008...

Chuck Comeaux was born and raised in Louisiana and Leslie
Blasing was "hatched" in Maryland and hasn't quite grown up yet
in Texas. They are both still playing in a big sandbox on
the coast of Texas with gorgeous palm trees!
In 1989, after we each had worked for many years and in many
places with extremely talented acts and nationally known stars,
we met in Camden, Arkansas while working in different bands.
We then formed a duo that was called
"Illusions" and moved to San Antonio to work at "Martini's
Night Club", "Oak Hills Motor Inn", "Mitchell's Night Club",
"Waldo's" and then at the beautiful "Casca Bel Lounge" at The
Sheraton. After working for the
Sheraton for about 2 years in San Antonio, we were transferred
to The Sheraton-South Padre Island in 1994. It was a
newly purchased property by the same owners as the one in San
Antonio. While working for the Sheraton
on the Island for 8 years, we became known as just "CHUCK AND
LESLIE". We moved the act slightly north on the Island
for a short time to a wild and crazy restaurant/club called
"The Captain's Table and Scully's Bar". Wow, was that
insane and fun at the same time!!
We have since found our stage home for the past 5 years at "The
Shrimp Haus" that is located within "Schlitterbahn Beach
Waterpark". The Waterpark is a seasonal part of the
entertainment center. It is open a few months out of the
year and is the most incredible family-owned complex that we
have ever been associated with.
"The Shrimp Haus" is a year-round
restaurant that has the most choices and best prepared shrimp
dishes on the Island..."Shrimp 101 Different Ways". There
are also many other selections from Steak to Chicken to Nachos.
Come out and enjoy dinner, drinks and/or dancing all at the
same place every Tuesday through Saturday. The staff that
we work with is just like family to us and we have a great time
with them and anyone else that comes to join in on the fun!

No, they
have never been married to each other!!!! Just great business
partners for 18 years.

Chuck and I have been very
blessed in many, many ways and really want you to know how much
you are appreciated and how you have been an important part of
our lives. That is why we call you guys "FRAMILY" Not
quite family, but not just friends.
